Image 7.1: Scene of a man, at a party, about to undergo an Out of Body Experience
This is a small group of people modeled using 3D software to examine what happens during an Out of Body Experience. The control subject is the man, on the back left, who is currently on his phone.
In this section, we are going to show what happens when someone undergoes an OBE. We start here, in scene one, forcused on the man in the back right. Here he is, in normal living OD consciousnessness just before going into an OBE.
Image 7.2: The view, of the party, from the control subjects eyes before his OBE
This is the actual view of the man in the back left on his phone. This is what he sees as he looks out at the group. This is normal consciousness, also know as point of view.
This is the view that the man has looking out at the group. His point of view is located within his head, behind his eyes. As he looks out into the world, this is what he sees.
Image 7.3: The view the control subject has after/during his Out of Body Experience
In this image, OBE has struck our control subject. It could be a stroke, or similar trauma sufficient to cause death. One moment he was looking at the group. The next moment he sees this. He is above his body, lokking down at the group.
Then an OBE occurs. Perhaps the man had a severe stroke. Whereas before, he was looking out through his eyes, now he is above his the group looking down at his body below. It is important to note that this is not what the man feels, or thinks he sees. This is exactly what he sees. He hovers above his body, looking down at the world below. There are millions of accounts of people who have seen this exact view.
Image 7.4: This is a global front view of the man and his OBE. It shows how his consciousness has been displaced out into the environment.
This is another view of the same model. In this view, we see where his consciousness was before the OBE. And we can see where his consciousness went during the OBE. The OBE caused his point of view to leave his body and move out into surrounding space.
Now we swing back and take a look at the scene from a global view. The red dot, on the left, shows where the man's consciousness was, before the OBE. The red dot on the right, shows where the man's consciousness moved to, after the OBE. His point of view of the world has moved from inside to outside his body. Hence the name of the phenomenon, out of body experience.
Image 7.5: This is a view, before the OBE, from far above the party. It shows the man's consciousness located inside the body, in the head
This is a bird's eye view of the group, before the OBE took place. You can see the man and his consciousness, as reprented by a small red dot located inside his mind. This is called point-like consciousness. We experience this all the time during life.
This view is from far away from the scene. This is the geometric situation before the OBE. What you have, is a small red dot, located inside the man's mind. This is the location of the man's consciousness.
Image 7.6: This view shows the man's consciousness during the OBE. Consciousness has expanded, from where it was, out into the world at large.
During an OBE, a change in consciousness takes place. The small red dot, in the previous picture, expands to encompass his entire surrounding space. OBE can be thought of as a change in conscioiusness from point-like to space-like.
This is the same view of the scene, only after the OBE occurs. Before OBE, you had a point of consicousness inside the man's head. After OBE, that point of consciousness (red dot) has expanded out into the enviroment. You can see from the image, the man's consciousness has expanded out into the world. The man's consicousness has expanded out to the limits of his surrounding environment. This explains OBE as a dimensional change of consciousness from a OD point, to a 3D space.
Image 7.7: This view shows normal, living consciousness. Normal living conscousness, or point of view, is located inside the mind, as shown here.
During life, we experience the outside world from a X, Y, and Z location inside the mind. Less than five percent of people have every experinced OBE. Therefore, the majority of people have only seen the world this way.
This is a simplifeid view of what someone might see during an OBE. Imagine this is a man lying on a hospital bed. In this pre-OBE view, his consciousness is located within the mind.
Image 7.8: This view shows what happens during an OBE. In OBE conscioiusness, point of view has moved out of the body and into the surrounding environment.
During an OBE, things change. The five percent that have experienced OBE have witnessed their X, Y, and Z location of view move from inside the mind, out into the outside world. They often find themselves floating above their body, looking down at it as shown here.
The man on the hospital bed experiences severe trauma, such as a heart attack. As a result of the trauma, the man's conscious point of view leaves his body and moves out into the outside world. There are thousands of accounts of people near death that have found themselves hovering near the ceiling, looking down at their body. It is a veried phenomenon, seen thousands, if not millions of times. The accounts are too simiilar to be written off as mere hallucinations or other subject activity. It is defined specifically like this over and over again.
